Municipal Government: Council-Manager

This form of municipal government combines the strong political leadership of elected officials (Mayor and Board of Trustees) with the strong administrative experience of the Village Manager.

Chief Executive Officer

Mayor - elected at large for a four-year term.

Legislative Body:

Village Board of Trustees - Six trustees elected at large for four-year overlapping terms.

Village Clerk:

The Village Clerk is an appointed official, responsible for keeping all Official Village Records.

The Village Clerk's Office also handles voter registration and Village elections.

Chief Administrative Officer:

Villager Manager - Professional Administrator appointed by the Mayor and Board of Trustees to direct daily operations of the Village. The Village Manager is responsible for preparation and presentation of the budget and has full authority over all Village Departments.
